When food & wine are the particular passion of your hosts you know that you are in for a real treat at Whakaipo Lodge.
Included in the tariff is a full country breakfast - with fresh, home made bread, pastries & muffins, fresh fruit, home made muesli, cereals and your choice of a cooked breakfast. Lodge-grown produce and home made preserves are also a feature at Whakaipo Lodge. Breakfast is accompanied by locally roasted Volcanic Organic Coffee and Webster's Organic Teas range & fruit juice.
If arriving at Whakaipo Lodge before 4pm you will be offered complimentary afternoon tea/coffee, with a freshly-baked treat to accompany, which you can enjoy in the guest lounge, at your private patio table or in your luxury suite.
Also included in the tariff is a pre-dinner glass of wine or local craft beer and canapés. Join your hosts and other guests at the outdoor garden setting in the warm summer months or indoors by the open fire in the guest lounge in winter. A special taste of Kiwi wine and food awaits…the perfect start to your evening in Taupo.
A premium shuttle to one of Taupo’s many wonderful cafes & restaurants is available by arrangement for a small fee. We are happy to assist with recommendations and bookings for dinner.

For a casual, in-house dining option enjoy our gourmet, home-made pizzas. Available most evenings.
Your hosts welcome guests with special dietary requirements and enjoy providing meals and treats that cater specifically to your needs. Gluten free, diabetic, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian & low FODMAP diets can be provided for with care and enthusiasm.
