Spring Hosted Dinners

Our Hosted Dinners are very popular with our guests (see our reviews on TripAdvisor).
 
We select the very best seasonal produce to showcase our Lodge's, and New Zealand's, fabulous food & wine.
 
Canapés of the Day are served in the Guest Lounge on cool Spring evenings beside the log fire,
  or in the beautiful Lodge gardens if warm, with your choice of fine NZ wine or a locally brewed craft beer.
 
The Main Course might be a stunning side of fresh Bluff Salmon, hot-smoked with a Whisky & Manuka Marinade or
locally-grown Beef  Eye Fillet  or perfectly grilled Hawkes' Bay Lamb Rump served with a Red Wine Jus.
A rich & satisfying Lentil & Quinoa Moussaka with Macadamia Pesto delights our vegetarian/vegan guests.
The main course is accompanied by lodge-grown Agria Potatoes & fresh garden salad.
A NZ wine to suit the dish, or your palate, will be served.
 
Desserts are a real highlight for many and include home-made classics such as
Molten Chocolate Pots with Cream & Black Doris Plum Ice Cream (GF available)
Lodge-grown Rhubarb Tarts with Orange-Scented Cream  (GF available)
Croissant, Almond & Black Doris Plum Cake w cream & Black Doris Plum Ice Cream
Passionfruit & Lemon Delicious Pudding with Cream (GF available)
A NZ dessert wine (sticky!) will be served.
 
Webster's Organic Tea, Volcanic Roasters Coffee or Hot Chocolate to follow with
Angie's delicious Hand-made Chocolate Liqueur Truffles or Petit Fours.
